Stewart & Tate Announces New Position and Hire of Personnel Development Coordinator

January 11, 2017 — Stewart & Tate has added a new team member to a newly formed position at the firm’s headquarters.

Melinda Hershner has been tapped for the role of Personnel Development Coordinator. In her role, Hershner will supplement the company’s HR department during the new hire process and will oversee the development of individual employee growth plans for each employee.

“Our new Personnel Development Coordinator will serve as Stewart & Tate’s liaison dedicated to ensuring our employees are presented with the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential,” said Tim Tate, President & CEO of Stewart & Tate, Inc. “As the construction industry reaches pre-recession levels, it is more important than ever to ensure we are continuing to invest in our employees’ careers through tailored growth plans offering additional training and education opportunities. This new position will allow us to improve upon current programs and ultimately build a stronger, more skilled workforce. We’re happy to have Melinda on board in this role.”

Hershner brings with her industry experience in facilitating employee in-processing and training coordination as well as a strong background in estimating, project management and business development. Her experience is enhanced by her degree in Business Administration from Penn State University with a focus on Human Development and Psychology.

In addition to her role as Personnel Development Coordinator, Hershner will be serving in a business development role for the company’s sitework and industrial services divisions.
