Roadite Division
Roadite is central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland’s leader in introducing and applying cutting-edge road-paving technologies – and has been since it introduced flexible base paving (FB1) to the area in the 1950s. By continually offering an array of the most advanced products, we enable municipalities to do a better job of economically maintaining and improving roadways.
Microsurfacing
We are one of the region’s leaders in microsurfacing, a latex-modified, emulsion-based asphalt mixed with crushed limestone aggregate in a truck-mounted pug mill. Designed to set within one hour of application, microsurfacing provides a long-lasting surface while increasing skid resistance and stopping the UV degradation of asphalt binder material in existing pavements without the loss of curb reveal.

Bituminous Sealcoat
Bituminous sealcoat, or “oil and chip,” is an economically beneficial treatment for low average daily traffic (ADT) roadways. The two-step, continuous process consists of bituminous emulsion application followed by the application of crushed aggregate. Our computer-controlled asphalt distributors and chip spreaders ensure a driving surface of the most consistent quality.

Crack Seal/Poly Patch
It is no secret that water infiltration is pavement’s worst enemy. Roadite offers two products to properly seal cracks and distressed areas. Individual cracks are sealed with rubberized joint seal material, while our crews seal larger distressed areas with Poly Patch materials.

FB Modified Material/Hei-Way Latex
By using an asphalt-cement base rather than an asphalt emulsion, these products eliminate the leaching problems associated with older cold mix designs. In addition, we produce both patching and overlay material with a portable pug mill that can be moved to your location for large-quantity production runs.
