Ribbon-Cutting Held for Hope Street Garden

August 27, 2014 — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the Hope Street Garden and Learning Lab. Stewart & Tate, along with several other companies donated services and materials for the work on the outdoor pavilion.

The Hope Street Garden and Learning Lab, once a vacant lot on West Hope Avenue in York City, has been transformed into a garden by the city’s youth and community volunteers. The lot’s transformation process began in January 2013 and it now serves as a community garden and outdoor learning lab for youth from schools all around the city. The outdoor pavilion is being built to serve as a classroom for students so they can come to learn and work outside of their traditional classroom environment.
