Renovations Planned for Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community

April 24, 2014 — Stewart & Tate Construction has been named general contractor for a $1.3M renovation project at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community in York, PA. The project will involve a 10,000 SF conversion of an existing personal care floor into independent living suites.

“It is our goal to support independence and wellness at all levels of care,” says Amy Young, Executive Director of Normandie Ridge. “By converting a portion of personal care into what we’re calling Alcove Apartments, we are able to provide a form of independent living that better fits the needs of a growing population of seniors.”

The Alcove Apartments will be specially designed to prolong independence through supportive services that are readily available if needed.

According to Young, “The residents of these suites will have full access to all of our recreation and dining amenities, as well as an array of in-home services when necessary.”

Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community is owned and operated by Albright Care Services, a faith-based non-profit corporation that serves all of central Pennsylvania.

In addition to the Normandie Ridge Community, Albright Care Services also owns and operates RiverWoods Senior Living Community in Lewisburg, Living Independently For Elders (LIFE) sites in Williamsport, Lebanon, and Lancaster, and manages Warrior Run Manor, an HUD-approved housing complex in Watsontown.

Stewart & Tate Construction has been involved in various capital projects over the years with Albright Care Services having completed numerous apartments, renovations, and facilities on both the York campus and Lewisburg campus.

Work is set to begin in July.
