The Wenger Group Corporate Office | Lancaster, PA
Stewart & Tate Construction completed a comprehensive corporate office renovation for The Wenger Group, transforming the former YTI Career Institute building into the company’s new headquarters and corporate center.
The commercial renovation project included a complete interior demolition and rebuild, with all plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems replaced to support Wenger’s current and future operational needs. A key design objective was enhancing employee wellness through increased access to natural light. To achieve this, the project incorporated 75 domed tubular skylights and additional perimeter windows throughout the facility.
The renovated corporate headquarters features specialized spaces designed to support The Wenger Group’s business operations, including a fully equipped laboratory, test kitchen, collaborative workspaces, and a full-service café with seating and vending areas for employees and visitors.
Throughout the office building renovation, interior finishes were selected to reflect Wenger’s agricultural heritage. Patterned felt wall panels, wood slat accents inspired by grain cribs, wide-plank luxury vinyl tile flooring reminiscent of traditional barn floors, and custom barn doors with sliding hardware create a distinctive workplace environment. In the café area, circular ceiling features evoke the shape of agricultural silos, while a restored 1944 stake body truck displayed in the lobby serves as a tribute to the company’s history and founding values.
The Wenger Group, a holding company for several feed grain processing businesses and Leidy’s Premium Meats, sought a facility that would balance modern workplace functionality with its agricultural roots. The completed adaptive reuse project successfully delivers a contemporary corporate office environment while celebrating the company’s longstanding legacy in the agricultural industry.
