Senior Care/Hospitality
We understand that nothing is more important to a senior care provider than its relationship with its residents. Our goal is to become your long-term partner by providing residents with the best facilities as they progress through your continuum of care. Working together, we can improve the lives of residents through the creation of a beautiful and functional physical environment.

After serving as contractor for numerous projects on Albright Care Services’ Normandie Ridge campus over the years, Stewart & Tate Construction was selected for a project to renovate an existing 1,300 SF bistro café space in the Manchester Commons area of the campus. Work included demolition of an exterior wall and construction of approximately 1,000 SF of additional space. The new bistro café features Starbucks products, seating for about 70, a large see-through fireplace, and a 600 SF patio with outdoor seating.
During construction, Stewart & Tate Construction worked alongside the owner’s food service vendor, Atlantic Culinary Environments, who managed the construction of the center serving area, including casework, countertops, and food service equipment.

Stewart & Tate Construction completed a 3,800 SF single-story duplex for independent senior living, each having two bedrooms, two baths and a one car garage.

Stewart & Tate Construction was selected to construct a new Memory Care Residence at the Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community campus. The $2.7M Memory Care Residence project took place over 7 months at a central location on the occupied campus and involved the construction of a new 11,000-square-foot addition that features 16 rooms—14 of which are private residence rooms designed specifically for the needs of the cognitively impaired.
Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community is owned and operated by Albright Care Services, a faith-based non-profit corporation that serves all of central Pennsylvania.

Stewart & Tate oversaw interior finish renovations of 125 guest rooms and suites. We also managed the installation of new finishes in the corridors.
Renovations were completed on-time, with minimal interruptions to normal business operations and guest services. Renovation occurred while floors were still being occupied by guests. HGI sold rooms, except as renovations occurred, on a “progressing schedule” through the entire project.

After completing the construction of the Garden Apartments and 64,000 SF nursing home complex on the 27 acre Normandie Ridge Campus in York, PA, Stewart & Tate was again selected by Albright Care Services to construct a new 140,600 SF, 76 unit independent living apartment facility. The facility also includes four (4) guest suites and a 13,960 SF community center which includes a chapel, swimming pool, beauty/barber shop, and café.

Stewart & Tate completed construction of the Alcove Apartments at Albright Care’s Normandie Ridge campus in York. The project involved the conversion of the existing personal-care floor into independent living suites to provide tenants the opportunity to prolong independence through supportive services. Of particular note for this project, all work was conducted within an operational senior care facility, in order to minimize the impact construction had on the daily activities of residents and staff. The construction areas were partitioned off and work was carefully phased in order to keep work zones isolated from the rest of the facilities.

The Ronald McDonald House of Hershey keeps children and families together by providing temporary housing to out-of-town families of seriously ill children who are being treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Lodging and meals are provided to these families at no cost. Demand for their services is consistently high making it impossible to service everyone who needs them thus the decision was made to expand and Stewart & Tate Construction was awarded the project. The 20,000 SF expansion contains 15 new bedrooms along with a much needed increase in common area rooms, a second kitchen, dining room, playroom, computer room and office space. Known as the “House that Love Built”, every brick, tree, bed and meal found in the house has been donated.

Stewart & Tate Construction completed this 82,000 SF Apartment Building which contains 64 Units, 4 guest suites, 3 game rooms, 3 lounges, an indoor swimming pool, and fitness area. Construction of this 48,000 SF addition to the skilled care residence facility for patients with cerebral palsy and other debilitating diseases. Construction of the “knuckle” where new construction passes directly over existing, occupied residence rooms required special scheduling and protection to ensure safety and continued access. Along with this addition, we renovated 22,000 SF of the facility while it remained open and operating. The project was completed in three phases—first new construction and occupany, then the renovation of two additional areas.

Built in 1928, the former Whitely Residence was renovated into the Box Hill Mansion at Regent’s Glen. Built in traditional English style, the country estate from the past now serves as a premier social and dining club at the Regent’s Glen Country Club. Although the transformation from a private residence into a place of social gathering entailed extensive renovations, the mansion’s grace and splendor have been retained.
The mansion includes a dining area on the outdoor terrace, exquisite interior dining rooms, after dinner social areas, meeting rooms, and card rooms.
